My work explores the crossover between our physical reality and the soul.

I began my artistic career at the age of 19 in New York City as a writer. My writings focused on poetic prose and spiritual awakening. It wasn’t until I moved to London to study at University College London did I adopt a strong belief in pure intention.

I began to practice honesty in every connection, conversation, and decision I made, which led to the discovery of my sacred work. I began to scribe symbols in my journals which had no contextual meaning. I thought I was experiencing a form of schizophrenia as these symbols I was putting on paper were like a cathartic outpour of expression that were so intense I could not stop.

These symbols were brought on by clearing my mind, removing any intent behind what I was to write and allowing my hand to guide me, without the clouding of thought. After years of work and research I felt these symbols were outbursts of pure intention, which I called 'The Language of the Soul'.

Each of my works are unique to one another whilst honing the same elements of light, authenticity and spiritualism. The unorthodox use of vivid colour combinations, and construction of the symbols are signature to my work. The unconventional use of mediums is distinctive, utilising the earth’s elements as a palette of opportunity. The works include the use of sand, earth, sugar cane, and chlorophyll as a medium.

Thematically, my work demands the individual to divorce the mind from the eyes and look at each piece as a mirror inward to one’s own state of self. My belief that in the darkest of times shines the brightest of light reiterates itself in each piece of the work.

The works hold a duality in nature, showing one side in light and in the dark, revealing another in the presence of ultraviolet light.

Communicating the parallel between our physical reality and the non-physical reality that exists inside us all.
